Chocolate Doughnut/Donut Recipe


Doughnuts are deep-fried cakes popular in many countries and are prepared in various forms as a sweet snack. The two most common types are the ring doughnut and the filled doughnut, with various toppings and flavorings, such as sugar, chocolate or maple glazing.












Recipe

Region/ cuisine: European

Main Ingredients:

1/4 Cup Warm Milk

3 Tbsp Sugar

2 Tsp Yeast

2 Cup All-purpose flour (Maida)

1/8 Tsp Salt

1/2 Cup Water

1 1/2 Tbsp Butter (Using Salted Butter)

Cooking oil for frying

Dark Chocolate or Chocolate of your choice


Process:

1. Add sugar and yeast in warm milk(should not be hot) and let it rest till the yeast activates.

2. In a bowl take flour, add salt, and mix.

3. Add the activated yeast mixture and mix

4. Add water and give it a mix.

5. Knead the dough(stretch the dough) for 8-10 min.

6. Add butter or ghee and knead it again till the butter is completely mixed.

7. Apply some oil in a container and rest the dough with the lid closed for about an hour and a half.

8. You will see that the dough has doubled in size.

9. Knead it again for 2 min.

10. Roll the dough with a rolling pin(belan) with a thickness of 1/2 inch.

11. Use a cookie cutter and cut the dough or use a glass of 2 sizes to make the doughnut shape.

12. Add oil in a pan and keep it on medium flame and fry the donuts.

13. Melt some white and dark chocolate.

14. Dip the donuts in the chocolate.

15. Place it on a plate and let it cool. Your donuts are ready to serve.
